  • Bespoke jewelry is the ultimate language of expression, according to precious jeweler Lucy Leenet. Her unique pieces of jewelry are the ultimate form of art, craftsmanship and adornment using precious gems and metals to express the language of jewelry. Lucy brings to life a client’s vision of high jewelry from start to finish with ethically sourced rare, unique gemstones and precious metals.

Lucy worked alongside her father in his atelier in New York’s legendary diamond district and helped him make unique pieces for international flagship jewelers and private clients. She learned every facet of high jewelry making from him and then got her graduate degree from GIA after graduating college.

Her first job was as a master appraiser at IGI (International Gemology Institute). A few years later, she started her own diamond wholesale manufacturing business in an office not far from her father’s atelier in New York City’s legendary diamond district.

News of Lucy’s expertise traveled fast and David Yurman hired her as his diamond buyer. There, she managed 30 people sorting gems and forecasting trends and transitioned the eponymous jewelry company into a diamond buying powerhouse purchasing $100M of loose diamonds a year. She also developed several patents for jewelry manufacturing parts that are used across all jewelry manufacturing processes.

As her network of suppliers grew and her reputation, Lucy was ready to start her own luxury bespoke jewelry business. She named it Lucine, which means “light and moon” in Armenian, after her grandmother.

“I see myself as a conductor and a storyteller with an eye on each aspect of the jewelry making process to hit perfection,” she explained. “ Working with high profile private clients includes sourcing flawless, precious gems and guiding my inhouse artisans as we find the best possible way to showcase the rare gems in each piece of jewelry we make.”
